Soft Minimal
Area 103 sq.m.
Wroclaw
Project year 2024
Implementation stage
It all started with a non-standard layout for a family of 3 people.
A three-level space with complex geometry means special attention to space planning and the allocation of additional functional areas that were not provided for by the developer’s project. Despite the good space in the house, there was no storage area in the hallway and there wasn’t planned an isolated workplace.
The initial free space gave some possibilities, but the configuration of the rooms, 2 staircases, and slopes introduced many restrictions.
Having considered more than 5 options, we chose a base that required serious work on the visual side and volume adjustments in the process. We worked with colors and contrasting combinations to maintain airiness in the interior, but not make it too simple and raw.
A large amount of windows of different sizes add light and seem to be an advantage in choosing a house or apartment, but not everything is so simple in organizing space. At each stage, we thought through how to enhance their advantages without sacrificing convenience and to maintain this lightness, despite the erected partitions.
One of the solutions is to make the entrance to the home office through a glass door and add a tall mirror on the other side. Both solutions dissolved the partition and visually preserved a coherent, bright space.
Everything that seems organic and simple in this interior is the result of thoughtful work with each square meter, and all aesthetic solutions continue the function.
Behind the visual, there is always thoughtful design and long work, and the result is always worth it.
